Here are a few practical steps your team can take to boost the visibility of company posts, as well as enhance their own profiles, ensuring your content reaches the right people in a meaningful way.
Step 1. Interact with the post.*
Employees can like / comment (mention/tag someone, add their thoughts etc) / Vote on the poll (if applicable). Try commenting first, before liking the post. The marketing team can encourage and even provide tips on what they could say/share.
*Best practice points to the first 30-60 minutes of a social post going live being the most crucial for interactions. Make sure to interact with it as soon as you can, this is the most effective way of boosting organic reach.
Step 2. Repost.
Employees could repost instantly, or repost with thoughts. This should be proactively guided by the marketing team through internal communication channels.
Step 3. Share the content elsewhere.
In relevant groups / forums / comment sections. “You might find this interesting”, to reach people that may not have seen it in their feed.
There is evidence to suggest that LinkedIn favours more active accounts when loading posts in a feed. By this, if a user is much more active on the platform (liking, commenting, sharing etc), and engages with posts/accounts that other users also like, LinkedIn’s algorithm tends to circulate relevant content to them more.
We can use this to our advantage, encouraging employees to be more active on their profiles, to interact with other accounts and content, so when they interact with your company post - it is more likely to be seen by other users.
By encouraging employees to engage with your content, you not only improve the visibility of your posts but also strengthen your brand's presence on LinkedIn. A well-coordinated effort can make a noticeable difference in organic reach, helping your message connect with a broader and more relevant audience. Consistent employee involvement is key to making this strategy a long-term success, ultimately enhancing both the company’s profile and their own.
